CONVENIENTLY LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN FREDERICKSBURG
The Title Professionals purchased 1015 Prince Edward Street to be its new home in autumn of 2017. Before moving into this historic home called the Benjamin Day House, the business was located one block away on Charles Street in a converted carriage house.
The Benjamin Day House was built in 1807 with an addition added in the early 1900s. Much of the interior, such as the wood plank flooring and plaster ceiling medallions, is original to the home. Benjamin Day, a two-term mayor of Fredericksburg, bought the home in 1811, and his painting hangs in the large foyer. Some think that Benjamin, lovingly called Benny D. by employees, may still be lingering in the home, as the smell of tobacco smoke is sometimes present in the late afternoons.
The house boasts four levels, with conference rooms and a renovated kitchen on the first floor, ample office space on the second, a suite on the third floor, and a finished basement recreation room. A lovely and private back patio provides space for outdoor entertaining and settlements, plus an adjacent municipal parking lot provides convenient parking for customers.
